Nearly 13,000km away from the east coast of Australia, the tiny African nation of Uganda is suffering through an education crisis. Sadly, in some parts of the country as few as 27% of school-aged children are enrolled in primary school, and for the minority who are, the student-teacher ratio can be as high as 52 to 1.
That’s why foundations like School for Life – a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to breaking the poverty cycle by giving children access to quality education – are so critically important.
At this years’ EduTECH event, Education Horizons Group – the parent company to SEQTA, Synergetic and myEdOnline – is proud to be raising funds for School for Life’s numerous projects and we invite you to help us through our scratch-and-donate program.
It’s easy. Just visit the Education Horizons Group stand (number 606, 20-metres straight up from the main entrance) and pick up a donation card. Simply scratch the silver panel to reveal a donation amount – paid for by Education Horizons Group – and return the card to one of our friendly stand attendants. We’ll then organise for your donation to be given to School for Life at the conclusion of the event.
As an added bonus, everyone who scratches a card has an opportunity to enter our major prize draw to win a $1,000 Coles Myer voucher.
